The Swiss Zwieback was already invented by baker master Joseph-Meyer 1877 in Lucerne. In the evening, he cut the unsold bread in slices and roasted them over night in the warm oven. The twice backed bread became to the Zwieback. These airy, crispy rice waffles are made of pure puffed brown rice and sea salt. They are nourishing, low in fat, and easily digestible. Just imagine, each wafer has only 27 calories, not counting the chocolate of course.
