HUG AG is a 130-year-old traditional bakery. Joseph Hug-Meyer laid its foundation stone, when he invented the zwieback. Today, HUG AG creates, produces, and sells a rhapsody of semi-finished and ready-to-serve products for the home and the restaurant, hotel, and catering industry. Among these are delectable crackers, zwieback, hors d'oeuvres, snacks, frozen foods, and naturally sweet Guezli pastries. Of particular significance for the restaurant, hotel, and catering industry are semi-finished tartlets, pastry shells, etc. Besides, HUG constantly advances its production technology, and markets both its own great brands and those of third-parties.

HUG AG is a family business at its core. In its fourth generation now, Andreas and Werner Hug manage the company and its 250 employees. Since 1913, HUG has had its head office in Malters.

HUG AG has instituted its own Magna Charta of Ingredients to regulate what goes into its products. HUG's prime directive is to ensure that its products contain natural ingredients stemming from the surrounding region. And that's a good feeling.
