A bakery founded in 1877.

The Swiss Zwieback was already invented by baker master Joseph-Meyer 1877 in Lucerne. In the evening, he cut the unsold bread in slices and roasted them over night in the warm oven. The twice backed bread became to the Zwieback. With this creation, Joseph Hug laid the foundation stone for the successful HUG company.
